Trimulgherry Entrenchment, 1902-03.

This panorama in two parts is a general view of the cantonment at Trimalgiri, near Secunderabad, from the Macnabb Collection (Col James Henry Erskine Reid): Album of Indian views taken in c.1902-03. Trimulgherry is one of a group of artillery cantonments situated in the area of Secunderabad. It was a large entrenched military camp surrounded by a stone ditch 3 miles north-east of Secunderabad . The large castellated building seen in this view was built in the late 19th century as a military prison.
